Cordierite is a material that has a great ability to store and release heat evenly. This makes it the right choice for a pizza stone even for demanding use. Cordierite is a mineral that contains magnesium and aluminum and can withstand high temperatures without breaking. It has a naturally
low coefficient of thermal expansion, so the material will not break even with rapid temperature changes. All these properties ensure that this pizza stone is suitable for pizza ovens or grills at high temperatures.

When a pizza stone made of cordierite is heated, it stores heat evenly and efficiently. This allows the stone to release heat evenly during pizza preparation, resulting in evenly baked pizza with just the right crispy crust. The porous structure of this pizza stone absorbs excess moisture from the pizza during cooking, which is of course important for a crispy finish.
