Power consumption is affected by the moisture content of the kitchen waste and the softness of the material. Soft and dry waste can be composted in as little as a few hours, but waste containing wetter and/or harder material requires a longer composting time.
We do not recommend putting e.g. soups, jams and other waste containing a lot of water. The eCompostori can handle them too, but it may take two or three consecutive processing cycles before the process is complete.
